Come and take a stroll through Downtown Freehold while you enjoy the Spooktacular artwork from our local art students.
This tradition of Halloween themed window painting in the Freehold Borough has been going on for many years and is made possible because of the dedication and talents of the art teachers and students in our community.
Thanks to all the businesses who participate and to the students and teachers who share their time and talents to add some spooky cheer to our town!
This photo is of the painted window of the Garden State Food store on Main Street in Freehold, New Jersey in 1948.
This was a family-run business and it was either the first or second year of Halloween window painting in Freehold. This window was painted by an artists from the Intermediate School. One of the artists was the mother of one of our Halloween Spooktacular committee members, Carl Beams.
